General Relativity is an elegant and powerful theory. It is hard to imagine a better model for gravitational physics. Yet, we know it cannot be the final answer because it predicts singularities. Presently, my main line of research is focused on this issue covering black holes and cosmology. I am also very interested in an extension of general relativity proposed in the seventies by Isham,Salam and Strathdee. This theory considers several metric fields. It is a very attractive idea, which posses several challenging conceptual problems, and along the way, gives a curious proposal for an alternative to dark matter...!
